Abstract :

In this examination α-Fe2O3 and NiO nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by biogenic route using Ficus religiosa tree bark extract. Initially the bark extract was prepared and was mixed wel l with the precursor solutions iron nitrate and the nickel nitrate .Finally synthesized samples was analyzed with various studies including XRD , FTIR , UV-Visible, SEM & EDAX and antimicrobial studies. Structural analysis revealed that iron oxide belongs to rhombohedral shape and NiO found to be cubic shape. The molecular bonding information of FeO and NiO was confirmed by the strong absorption peaks 477, 564 , 470 and 568. The band gap were calculated as 1.85 and 3.18eV for Fe-O and NiO NPs. The sample was tested for its antimicrobial l activity with a selective species of gram-positive and gram-negative strains E.Coli and S.aureus and results showed an active inhibitory zone with tested species,Overall study confirms the multifunctional role of the synthesized samples which can be used as a biocompatible materials in the field of Nanoscience .
