Abstract :

An organic nonlinear optical Piperazinium Succinate single crystal was grown by employing controlled solvent evaporation technique. The cell parameter of the grown crystal was identified by single crystal XRD analysis and the functional groups present in the crystal were identified by FTIR spectral studies. The mechanical behavior of the crystal was studied using Vickers hardness tester. The cut off wavelength, energy gap and optical constants of the crystal were calculated from UV-visible analysis and fluorescence analysis. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the grown crystal was studied as a function of frequency and temperature. The TGA analysis shows that the crystal is thermally stable up to 156 oC. The NLO property of the crystal was studied using Z scan technique.
