Abstract :

The present research focus is to design new catalyst by doping polyoxometalate in conducting polymers. Polypyrrole (PPy) doped keggin type polyoxometalate [PMO12O40]3- with various molar concentrations were synthesized by using co-precipitation method. The doped samples were synthesized and characterized using spectral techniques such as FT-IR spectra, which shows the presence of extended functional groups and SEM morphology exhibits square-shaped structure. XRD results give crystallite size of around 40 nm. The conductivity of polyacid-doped polypyrrole (PPy) was found to be about 10-5 S cm-1. The anti-microbial activities were also studied.
